decided to not sell any works this year so i can pass uni assessments CRY
have been finishing the last of semester 1 assesments so that i can move onto important outside art commitments // omg essays cryyyy!
tried to conjure up what the perfect 21st birthday party would be like!! HALP!
have been OBSESSED with six feet under + michael c hall!!!
tried to decide between saving to invest in new things (eg. computer/laptop/travel) or enough to sustain moving out; i'm still undecided!

today adam and i decided to have lunch in chinatown after another useless uni class.

things have been pretty breezy lately. i really need to get started on my next work.

i handed in an essay last week! i haven't done one of those in years.

what's the best shit for preventing colds from happening when you know yr on the verge of one? EDIT: I GOT SICK OVER NIGHT :( :( :( i picked up some lemsip today and also was recommended some "oscillocococcinum" whatever the fuck that is, its basically sugar in little tubes you let dissolve in your mouth which is meant to make you fight off the first signs of a cold, but i dont know if its actually good or not, i've done two- they're pretty tasty.


oh, and p.s. my work is up on the stupidkrap online gallery on the second page. it's actually 1900$, but i'm sure something will be done about that soon.

i think it's about time i invested in a digital camera. the show on the 4th of april went unbelievably well, and yet i have barely anything picture-wise to show for it!

but, here is some of what i have/found:




outside mtv, this crowd continued down the street for essentially the entire night. doors closed halfway through as the gallery reached full capacity. i had friends that waited 30 mins in line before they could get in.

resized to about 300% so its all pixelly, but this is chris, adam and me. today i bought the most bitchin' painting smock (men's sleeping robe/kimono thing?) for 8$, it's pictured above. i can't wait to wear it around school to strike fear in the hearts of thousands and make a lot of exaggerrated arm movements!

p.s. if anyone could help me out with some ideas/instructions for the best way to mount very heavy mdf board flat (or almost) against a wall- it would be very, very much appreciated ♥

also i dont know whats been up, but i just cant stop listening to mariah carey, like, ever.

this is going to make me sound completely vain and vapid, but today i got a fucking terrible haircut from furr, whom ive never been unhappy with in the 3 odd years ive been going there.

i feel like crying everytime i catch a glimpse of my hair, and i feel fucking ugly.

i spent the past five-ish months growing out my hair so that it goes all ridiculously huge and poofy, then, deciding that i wanted to look nice at an opening night coming up, i booked myself in for a bit of cleaning up, emphasising on the fact that i didnt want to cut much off at all, maybe about 2 cm or so, just needed a bit of styling, so what he does is cut off half of my hair (well, at the top where i get all my layering done), speeding through it for some reason, then says "so is that short enough?" once he was done.

i know its just hair, but when so many other things stress you out in life and you look forward to these little pampering sessions which you pay good money for, its just the biggest disappointment ever.

oh well, back to deadline week.

i didn't plan to take these, but ben wanted to see how i just did my eyeshadow (even though you can't really tell on this cell phone camera!), and they turned out a little nice. and just because you all know how self hating i am i will just get this done and over with; my hair has been untouched since i woke up (read: no blowdry, straightening, teasing or spray), and i know that i keep saying my hair is never big in my photos but it never is! maybe its my curse,, my hair is really big in person,, you'll see! cry!!!!

no false lashes or anything fancy at all, it's 10.30pm and i had a really bad night last night!

today, as a result, has been one of those days where you feel like the first 10 minutes after you wake up for the entire day.

i saw ben's band, the yeah bears for the first time last night. they were really good! it was nice. then i stole geneveive and took her to dragonfly (kings cross) with me because i had a birthday to go to there. it was so packed you could barely move, and it was so loud you couldnt hear yourself scream. young girls and old men. house music. 10 minutes of horror later, we left.

i was groped by some random guy who struggled to keep me in his arms on our way to the lincoln for free drinks and an escape. by the time my cousin (aforementioned birthday girl) was done clubbing it was cab change over... it was 50 minutes before we finally managed to hail one successfully.

last night was one of those nights where you manage to spend about 150$ on fuck all. i honestly have nothing to show for it other than a tube of duo eyelash glue. i didn't even drink that much!

once i got home i realised that somewhere along the line i had lost my newly acquired 80$ scott barnes powder brush.

this all happened in the rain. lol!

2008 sure is starting to look up for me :)

i had a strand test done on my hair by my boyfriends little sister hayley who is a hairdresser! she is especially talented as a colorist.

apparently i have super strong hair that can totally handle a lot of bleaching. it's only about the last few inches that is prone to breaking, so worst case scenario means that by the time my transition to blonde is over i may have to cut the ends off! that's okay though. so worth it :)

so during the next few months (apprx. 4) i will be getting chunks bleached into my hair to a very light blonde, and with treatments to follow until my whole head is blonde (eeee!!) then a low developer all over bleaching + toner for WHITE (!!!!!)

then after that, the pink will be thrown in.

i am sooooooo excited, i cant wait to have fairy floss hair!

in other news i am totally planning to dye my hair light pink in the next month or so :) i'll test the waters with blonde/white hair first (thanks so much used_bandaid!!) then go the pink!

♥ does anyone have a 3rd gen ipod nano? they are so cute, but i was wondering how reliable they are?

♥ also looking for a moderately priced excellent digital camera with a minimum of 7mp. any recommendations? there seems to be a lot of cameras right now that take very flattering photos of just about anything, without having to mess around with the settings too much. i would like to get in on this secret!

i am trying to attempt a big life detox. i've been carrying far too much emotional baggage for about the past two years now and its time to let go, indulge, move.

i haven't been doing much lately aside from working at kit cosmetics. i am so excited to be there and my job is super easy because all their products are actually good!! i discovered this perfume that smells like caramel and it is absolutely divine. all the other girls are really lovely and friendly, and good music is always on!! sometimes it is drowned out by britney spears' GIMME MORE though because theres a promo happening next to us.

yesterday the lady who manages wheels and doll came by and i helped her choose some christmas gifts. she recognised me! and told the 2IC that i was totally adorable and therefore i'm perfect for kit. also turns out that she is one of our fave customers!

other lovely happenings include BUMPING INTO MY BEST FRIEND FROM PRIMARY SCHOOL who i have not seen SINCE PRIMARY SCHOOL!!! oh god, it was amazing. neither of us have changed and so we just laughed ourselves to tears about it. i can't wait to catch up with her :)


other than that, i'm not looking forward to my birthday. i don't even know what to do for it because it is one of the less fortunate days of the year (27th december) and i'm working all the weekends surrounding it, and possibly on the day as well. my boyfriend won't even be in the state on the day so i can't even do something quiet and coupley. i'm thinking about celebrating it in the new year, but i'm a little unsure because i have to wait for the new years celebrations to die down as well. i guess something will work out.


that aside, i finally feel like i'm making some real progress towards some of the personal shit i have to deal with, which is so satisfying after all of these years. i am going to sort out all of it and then get the fuck on with my art making. ♥
